It has been my dream to have experience going abroad


For my situation, my finance my poor family and the small town I live in it seemed impossible to see it happens, but you know what, god speaks in such a unique way. While I think of all my negative circumstances that’s the time when I never think about my stronger side.. I do have abilities that other might not have, I have internet access in my phone, I have good confidence and i have some talents but I remember that I still have brain that works for me BAMMM!!

# 1. FOCUS ON YOUR STRONGER SIDE, YOUR ABILITY, YOUR BRAIN

The next step is I search for my golden ticket named CHANCE, around January 2012 I got information from my Sociolinguistics lecturer that there will be an international youth exchange program in west Sulawesi, and the audition will be opened soon, no nepotism that all the tests will result the best delegation for West Sulawesi. And I thought that this was my time to shine, I always have the courage inside of me, nothing to lose .. and why not try it?

# 2. BROWSE ALL INFORMATION ABOUT YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM. JEMPUT BOLA DONG!!

When I got all the valid information, at first I had no idea about what program I was about to choose as it had some various choices. Then I had a commitment to join PPAN 2012 selection ( Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara) held by Youth and sport Ministry of Indonesia ( Kemenegpora ). I decided to join PPIM (pertukaran Pemuda Indonesia- Malaysia) / IMYEP (Indonesia – Malaysia Youth Exchange Program) as I couldn’t join other categories because age limit and quota (male or female matrix). The next step was I had to know the program aim which is about entrepreneurship and cultural and as we were going to be a delegation from our provincesand would be promoting it in Malaysia, we must had known our own cultures, government issues, human and natural resources.

# 3. STUDY THE PROGRAM THAT YOU CHOOSE

I finally joined the selection in Mamuju. I experienced several test like writing, multiple choice questions about global issues, education, culture. Cultural performance, presentation and interview. I found the selection process was the very interesting part of all. It was like all the contestants were so friendly. Yet we had such a competition but we blend in solidarity. We even form a facebook group named “Sahabat banana” . the committee and juries of the selection were alumnae of the previous PPAN or we know it as PCMI (Purna Caraka Muda Indonesia). Even they are mostly younger than me but they had such great personality and knowledge. Never underestimate them yo!

# 4. BLEND AND MINGLE

When the selection run, I thought it was all about intelligence and talents no, not at all, we have to behave well (of course) discipline, commitment, and be our self. The committee and juries know exactly what they observed. No matter if you are older than them, no matter how smart and rich you are, no matter how poor you are they just want to chose the Right ambassador it means the whole complete.



# 5. BE YOURSELF, BEHAVE AND SHOW YOUR BEST

And finally I got my golden ticket with all new experiences new friends and new story to tell 
